‘War on their doorstep’: Ukraine drones hit Moscow on final day of Russia’s parliamentary election

Three days of voting in Russia’s first wartime parliamentary elections ended with a huge bombardment of Ukrainian drones, some of which hit Moscow.

But any Russians hoping to reflect their anger over the war at the ballot box found there was virtually no opposition to vote for.

And early results are showing a foregone conclusion: the ruling United Russia party is on track to win easily, with turnout put at almost 57%.
