The New York Times obtained more than 1,000 pages of internal material from Cornell University’s investigation into an alleged 2024 fraternity gang rape. Investigative reporter Debra Kamin revealed a moment the victim’s perception of the trauma shifted after seeing an online post about the alleged assault. Reading from the leaked files, Kamin notes the survivor told investigators: “That was the first time I’d ever heard the narrative change, that I wasn’t a whore and that I was assaulted.”
The contents of the New York Times report were corroborated to CNN by Jane Doe’s attorney, who adds “we were not responsible for leaking these documents.”
