US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has met with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
The talks centered on funding for Gulf reconstruction and maritime stability in the Strait of Hormuz.
Escalating hostilities between Riyadh and Yemen’s Ansar Allah Houthis were also discussed.
Rubio has also met with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
Their talks focused on security along Lebanon’s southern border.
Rubio is pushing for Hezbollah to disarm while Beirut is seeking military aid and an international presence to replace a UN mission in Lebanon, as its mandate expires at the end of the year.
