King Charles will not apologise for slavery during his upcoming Caribbean tour

Buckingham Palace says King Charles won’t apologise for slavery when he visits the Caribbean later this year.

But he won’t shy away from discussing the legacy of Britain’s colonial past and the transatlantic slave trade. The palace said his visit would address what it called “the darkest days of our past.”
