Stephen Hubbard’s lawyer says the American has been freed from Russia after more than four years in detention, returning home on a humanitarian pardon.
DeLuca rejected claims that Hubbard’s release was tied to wider US-Russia deals, saying Russia does not trade commercial agreements for detainees and that Hubbard was not an active fighter in Ukraine.
