The World Food Programme has announced that funding shortages will force it to suspend food assistance for half a million Palestinians in Gaza and reduce rations for others. Gaza’s Government Media Office has warned of “catastrophic consequences” and called for the reopening of border crossings to allow the delivery of urgent aid.
