Israel’s army is occupying more than 60 villages along Lebanon’s southern border, including Meiss el-Jabal, Houla and Tallousah, the report says. From nearby Chaqra, smoke rises as the Israeli army burns land and destroys homes in villages whose former residents can only watch and film from a distance. Witnesses filmed a large fire near a hospital in Meiss el-Jabal several days ago, though it remains unclear how much damage the hospital sustained. Hundreds of thousands of people are displaced as Israeli demolitions are described as widespread and systematic, in what appears to be a campaign to turn the area barren and uninhabitable.
