Wilber Rafael Garces Perez, a Venezuelan DoorDash driver who was shot and wounded by an ICE agent Sunday in Austin, Texas, answered questions from reporters via a phone call Monday at a news conference held by civil rights attorneys and immigration advocates. Garces Perez is now in federal custody and he says he still has a bullet lodged near his spine.
