The exhibition Designed to Be Red: Native American & Indigenous Poster Works, at New York’s Poster House, places the history of Native graphic art at the forefront. Curated by Brian Johnson of Monacan Indian Nation, the posters showcase the full spectrum of Indigenous creativity, situating Native Americans not only as the subjects of graphic art but also as its makers. The work on view spans two centuries, represents more than 60 tribes and nations and is on view through February 2027
