At least 58 recruits have been killed in a Houthi ballistic missile strike on a training camp in Yemen’s Shabwah governorate, according to the report.
The Yemeni government described the site as a security training centre away from the front lines, while Houthi forces said they targeted Saudi-backed forces.
In Ataq, hospitals faced blood shortages as medical teams responded to the casualties and families searched for missing relatives. The attack was followed by retaliatory strikes by government forces near Taiz, raising further concerns over escalating violence in Yemen.
The report examines the conflicting accounts of the target, the humanitarian response and the wider consequences of renewed clashes.
