You’ve probably seen posts on social media of exotic animals kept as pets, but behind the clips lies a troubling reality.
Research commissioned by the International Fund for Animal Welfare, based on a sample of 620 UK wild pet owners, revealed that 54% did not know whether their current or past wild pets required a licence.
It also found that 29% believe celebrity and online content encourage wild pet ownership.
