Kenya’s top-flight football league has finally kicked off after more than six weeks of delays caused by a legal dispute. The disruption has raised concerns about the state of football administration in the country as Kenya prepares to co-host the Africa Cup of Nations alongside Uganda and Tanzania in less than nine months. The delayed start has also raised questions about the country’s readiness to host one of Africa’s biggest sporting tournaments and the challenges facing its domestic football competition.
