Former general Sir Richard Barrons has warned that the UK and NATO are not ready for a potential attack from Russia.
Speaking on Sunday Morning With Ruth Davidson, he said: “Not finding money for defence quickly means we won’t with NATO, necessarily deter Russia from expanding from where we are now, which is a confrontation they call war to an actual war.”
Sir Richard also spoke about the consequences of Donald Trump’s decision to make a deal to import Russian diesel in a bid to lower prices.
