Sheryl Sandberg on finding love again after loss: ‘New love does not erase the old’

When Sheryl Sandberg’s husband, Dave Goldberg, died suddenly in 2015 at 47, she believed she would not find love or “pure joy” again, but she has. She talks with Anderson about her experiences and about an open letter she has written to adult children who’ve lost a parent, asking them to “give permission and even encouragement” to their surviving parent to date and find love again if they want to.
