Former footballer Chris Kamara is urging men who are struggling to talk to someone, as he opens up about his own mental health battles.

The player-turned-manager has teamed up with Visit Guernsey to launch the ‘Here for C.H.R.I.S’ campaign to help men, with mental health support available at bars, restaurants, shops and hotels.

Men will be able to find mental health support on the island of Guernsey by telling a barman, barber, hotel or shop worker: “I’m here for Chris.”

Chris Kamara spoke openly to Sky’s Gareth Barlow about his own struggles in the hope that it will encourage anyone who may be having similar thoughts to seek help.
