Iran’s foreign minister accuses the US and Israel of aggression, assassination and economic warfare, saying more than 5,000 people, including women and children, have been killed, and that civilian sites such as schools, hospitals and a wedding in Sirik have been struck.
On the Strait of Hormuz, he says insecurity there stems directly from US and Israeli aggression, not from Iran, which remains committed to safe navigation.
Iran has now conveyed a new seven-day plan to Washington through Qatar: if the US accepts and meets commitments already outlined in the memorandum, the Strait would reopen within days, followed by talks toward a final deal. He says Iran will not accept coercion or surrender its sovereign rights under pressure.
