Hundreds of people in Madrid protested outside the apartment of an 87-year-old woman as police evicted her from her home of over 70 years. An eviction order was issued after an investment fund bought her apartment and heavily increased rents in the area. The woman’s lawyer said they had been negotiating with the landlords until the last minute.
