The US-Israel war on Iran is pushing up food and fuel costs in Nigeria, where many families are already struggling to afford basic meals. Health workers warn rising living costs are putting more people, particularly children, at risk of malnutrition. Farmers say expensive fertiliser, labour and other inputs are forcing them to raise prices. Fuel prices also rose by about 50 percent in many parts of Nigeria days after the war began, while transport costs remain high.
