Specialist courts are to be introduced in England and Wales to help tackle the backlog of rape cases. It’s part of broader attempts to tackle violence against women and girls, and to improve confidence in the justice system.
Charlotte Nichols MP waived her right to anonymity in a House of Commons speech during which she said she had to wait more than 1,000 days to go to court.
