The Israeli military has carried out a series of attacks across Gaza, killing three Palestinians, including a child, in three separate incidents. A child was shot in the chest in the south of the Strip, where Israeli forces opened fire on civilians; a 31-year-old woman was shot in the head in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza; and a Palestinian man was killed in Jabalia in the north. Al Jazeera reports that this has become a “daily routine” for families living close to Israeli military positions, and that the incidents cannot be seen as isolated as attacks expand to other parts of Gaza. Israel is systematically forcing people towards the western part of Gaza City, using extensive firepower and moving the yellow demarcation line further west, leaving people with a “shattered sense of safety” while diplomatic efforts remain deadlocked.
