Schools and universities across Iran are reopening after months of disruption caused by US-Israeli airstrikes, with educators and families facing the lasting effects of the conflict.
More than 1,700 schools were damaged, ranging from minor destruction to complete devastation, according to Iran’s education authorities. Universities also faced disruption from energy shortages and poor internet connectivity, affecting the quality of courses.
Educators say many children are returning to classrooms carrying deep psychological scars. Drawings depicting missiles and war scenes have highlighted concerns about the impact of the conflict on a generation of students.
Families are also facing severe financial pressure, with the cost of school supplies reportedly tripling, adding another burden as students return to education.
